What is thermally modified wood?
Thermal modification is a process in which wood is treated at elevated temperatures of approximately 180-220°C in a controlled vacuum environment. During this process, the cellular structure of the wood is altered, reducing its moisture absorption capacity and significantly improving its performance characteristics.
